Remodelling Garments with Purpose

At Stitch & Style, garment remodelling begins with a careful assessment of what can be reused, reshaped, or reinforced. This approach helps preserve the strongest parts of the original piece while keeping the redesign realistic.

We work on dresses, skirts, shirts, jackets, and vintage garments that need a new fit or a new direction. Some projects focus on subtle alterations, while others turn existing fabric into a fresh design with a different purpose.

We review the garment first, then shape the redesign around its fabric, construction, and condition.

Upcycling works best when the original piece is understood before any cuts are made.

Every project moves through a clear process: inquiry, assessment, redesign consultation, concept approval, remodelling work, and a final fit or finish review. If additional work becomes necessary, it is discussed before proceeding.

Because each garment is different, the final result depends on seam allowances, fabric condition, and the structure of the piece. Materials for finishing details are quoted separately when needed, and the completed garment is checked again at collection.
